Changing the Boost

Before the boost controller, I was pulling about 20in/hg and maxing out at 5psi @ 2500rpms. After the controller I ran 7.5 psi becuase of my pop-off valve. Now I run 12psi on 91oct gas.

Keep in mind I have the 1988 with the Garrett T25 turbo (small).

Boost gauge:

First I installed the gauge into the Pod and ran the tubing through the firewall.

I ran the electrical wires down and tapped into the climate control lights. This way the guage lights dim with the dimmer and only light up when I have my lights on.

Then I possitioned the pod and marked where I wanted to drill before drilling and mounted

This is where I used a T connector and a little bit of tubing to tap into the vacuum hose that goes to the fuel pressure regulator. I'm gonna get a metal peice one day, and some better tubing. Im told the way I have it now, it will soon become brittle and I'll have leaks.
Boost controller:

First I jacked up the car and took off the covering. I found the wastegate, but followed the line to the turbo and couldn't find where it stops. I ended up just pulling off the exsisting tube from the wastegate and using a two way connector to connect the new tubing to the old tubing. This way I didnt have to dick around with the turbo side of the old tube.

Afterwards I was litteraly up to my elbows in oil. I was recommended to use some curved needle-nose.. but didn't have access to any at the time.

Then I attached the other end of the tube to the wastegate and brought the tube up to where I could reach it from the top.

This is where I mounted it, and made sure to have the Wastegate side of the controller as short as possible.

This whole set-up is "temporary" and I plan on using clamps and one large piece of tube... when I get around to it.
